The Duchess of Sussex has appeared on daytime television in the US, just days after the launch of her highly-awaited lifestyle series.
Meghan joined host Drew Barrymore who made sure not to call the 43-year-old “Markle”, instead referring to her guest as “Meghan Sussex”.
The duchess sat down for the chat on The Drew Barrymore Show which will air on Thursday, March 6, in the US. It’s unclear when the episode will be shown in Australia.

In a short teaser, Barrymore introduces the duchess by saying: ”This is the Fast Five with Meghan Sussex”.
In episode two of With Love, Meghan the duchess admonished her friend Mindy Kaling for calling her “Meghan Markle”.
”It’s so funny you keep saying, Meghan Markle, you know, I’m Sussex now,” she told Kaling.

It was Meghan’s first appearance on American daytime television since November, 2021, when she joined Ellen Degeneres and took part in a hidden camera skit.
This time around, Meghan spoke to Barrymore about her unexpected meeting with Prince Harry which lead to their royal wedding.
“I mean, look, life is full of surprises,” Meghan said.

“I did not expect to meet H and for this to be our love story and, you know, I’m very lucky.”
She described Harry as the “funniest, sweetest, most charming” man and an “amazing father”.

The duchess travelled to New York to film the episode earlier this week and while there Prince Harry sent his wife a card and flowers from him and their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, congratulating her on the launch of With Love, Meghan.
The duchess said the gesture made her feel “so loved” in a “really sweet” way.
Meghan told Barrymore that she was once given relationship advice while working as a babysitter during her university days that she continues to follow now.

She recalled a tip from one of the children’s fathers, telling Barrymore: “Meghan, when you meet your person one day, I want him to say to you the same thing that I said to my wife when we got married which is: ‘I vow to always date my wife.’
“And I told H that when we started dating, and he goes, ‘I vow to always date you’.

“So we have this connection, I think, because we’re so committed to treating each other the same way you did before had a ring on it. Before it was locked down. When you’re just courting each other and you can see all the good and joy during that butterfly period.”

Meghan also revealed Archie and Lilibet say the word “zebra” with a British accent.
“They have very American accents but they say words just like him,” Meghan said, when asked how Archie and Lilibet remind her of Harry.
“I think it’s adorable.”
The duchess said she always tries to connect with her children when she is away travelling for work.

“I always pack a really thin book and I’ll videotape myself reading it…so whoever’s with them can say ‘Here’s Mamma reading you a bedtime story’.
“You find ways to show up for each other because you know how good it feels when someone shows up for you.”
During her appearance Meghan showed off her baking skills while promoting products to be sold through her brand As Ever.
