Queen Mary of Denmark has borrowed a coat from her daughter’s wardrobe to wear during an official visit to Finland.
Mary, 53, was seen in the purple Dolce and Gabbana double-breasted coat on the second day of her visit alongside King Frederik on Wednesday in Helsinki.
Temperatures were sitting at around four degrees Celsius in the Finnish capital, forcing the Queen to later cover up further with a black puffer jacket and grey shawl.

The purple coat was first seen on King Frederik and Queen Mary’s eldest daughter Princess Isabella when she wore it to a performance of The Nutcracker at Tivoli in Copenhagen.
Mary hasn’t been seen in the item in public, with many believing she had borrowed it from Isabella.
However, Isabella – who is 17 – has been sharing clothing and jewellery from her mother’s wardrobe for some time now, so it could be Mary’s piece.

Queen Mary chose a historic tiara from the Danish royal collection not worn in public for 140 years.
Queen Mary wore Queen Caroline Amalie’s gold tiara with antique gems and Princess Vilhelmine Marie’s bracelet with Vesuvius stone to the gala dinner.
The tiara was made in 1820 for Caroline Amalie, who was married to Denmark’s Christian VIII, who reigned from 1839 to 1848.
They are typically displayed in the Treasury under Rosenborg Castle, along with Denmark’s four sets of Crown Jewels which Queen Mary has also worn.
